- EN-52436 fits 2.0L-T and 2.7L-T engines to hold the timing chain when camshaft, actuator, valve spring, or valve stem seal service is required. Before the camshaft actuator valves are removed, EN-52436 is installed and expanded in the timing chain to hold it, while preventing the tensioner from extending. EN-52436 is engaged into the chain as low as possible to ensure that chain tension is held on the lower end of the engine. Once EN-52436 is in place, the actuators can be removed from the camshafts and the timing chain, allowing service of the actuators, camshafts, springs, or seals.
